TCASK stands for the Tennessee Coalition to Abolish State Killing.
This is an activism group focusing on awareness and education on the death penalty and methods of killing
in it by hosting such events as vigils on the nights of executions, petitioning for executions to be stopped,
and other such nonviolent protest actions.
The Nashville student TCASK is begining on the Vanderbilt campus, and hopes to spark interest enough for other Nashville college and university campuses to start up a TCASK group of their own. The goal of having a TCASK chapter on each campus is to better educate and inspire people to stand up against the death penalty. In nonviolent actions, numbers make a big difference: the more of us that can come together for this cause, the better chance those on death row will have to survive.
Join us at our kickoff meeting on October 30th. For more information, check out this flyer. If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please email us at NashvilleStudentTCASK@gmail.com
